This page explains how Boss Limited handles personal information connected with this website, in line with Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, and the terms on which the information on this website is provided.

This website is run by Boss Limited, 74/3 Sophia House, Nyerere Road, P.O. Box 71141, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Boss Limited is responsible for the personal data described in this notice.
This notice covers this website only. Personal data we handle when providing products and services to our clients is covered by our agreements with those clients.
2. What we collect
You can browse this website without telling us who you are. The website has no sign-up, no online forms and no shopping cart, and it does not set its own cookies.
- When you contact us. If you email or phone us, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, organisation, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our web server may keep standard technical records of visits, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. We use these only to run, secure and fix the website.
3. Google Maps and Cloudflare Turnstile
The Contact section can show a Google Map of our office. The map does not load automatically. It loads only if you click Show map. Until then, nothing is sent to Google.
If you load the map, Google may collect information such as your IP address and may set cookies. Google handles this under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy, and may process it outside Tanzania.
Client login check. When you click Client login, we use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you are a person and not an automated program before sending you to our client order portal. Turnstile loads only when you click that button. To do its check, Cloudflare processes information such as your IP address and details about your browser and device. Cloudflare handles this under its own privacy policy, available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy, and may process it outside Tanzania. The order portal itself is covered by our agreements with our clients.
Everything else on this website, including its fonts, is served from our own server.
4. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and to arrange demonstrations, quotations or services you ask about.
- To keep this website working, secure and protected against misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for.
6. Keeping it safe and how long we keep it
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires.
7. Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 you have rights over your personal data, including the right to:
- be informed about how your personal data is used and who receives it;
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate, outdated or misleading data corrected;
- have your data deleted, where the law allows;
- object to processing, or ask us to restrict it, in the circumstances the Act provides.
To use any of these rights, email boss@boss.co.tz with the subject “Personal data request”. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on your request.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), Tanzania’s data protection regulator.
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
9. Website disclaimer
- General information. The content of this website is for general information about Boss Limited and our products. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but it is not a binding offer. Specifications, features and availability are confirmed in writing in a quotation or agreement.
- Product screens. Screens shown on our product pages use sample data. Names, figures and documents in them are made up and do not belong to real people, staff or clients. Some screens are illustrations of the product, and the delivered system may look different.
- Client names and logos. The names and logos in our client register belong to their respective owners. We show them to identify organisations we have served. Their use does not mean that these organisations endorse this website or any particular product.
- Other websites. Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.
- Copyright. Unless stated otherwise, the content of this website belongs to Boss Limited and may not be copied for commercial use without our permission.
